Summer reading
Lately I’ve been in hermit mode and I managed to finish 2 books in a week. I haven’t done this in a while…granted they were both easy reads, but whatever. Yay me.
Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut
It’s an anti-war science fiction novel, which follows the non-linear life of a WWII vet, turned optomotrist, Billy Pilgrim. He has developed the ability to become...

A booklovers guide: The BBC Big Read
Ever since I can remember, I’ve absolutely loved reading. Something about the turn of the page, being wisked away to a completely different realm, all through the beauty of a collection of words on paper, puts me on cloud nine.
In 2003, the BBC undertook the difficult task of discovering the 200 most beloved pieces of literature found in the English speaking language. They surveyed their...

Operation: Cobey Chang discovers LA
I’ve lived in LA for over 2 years now, and with the exception of random dance/work-related trips, I’ve managed to stay within about the same 10 mile radius of North Hollywood. It’s time to step out!
With the help of my good friend, Marie, we have created a bucket list of sorts, comprising of things that I should see before I leave this wonderful place I currently call home.

Bachi bites.
Last night at my friend’s going away party there was a girl who got tripped by some douche who was man-handling her/trying to impress her with his flashy dance moves. Anyway, they both totally ate it and me being a complete ass, laughed at them. Flash forward to later in the night, I twist my ankle, due to a complete miscalculation of step and my 3-inch heels.
Bachi is a bitch. Lesson...

The Right Movie at the Right Time
The right place, the right time, the right movies. It was meant to be.
Two things:
First, Up in the Air.
This year one of my resolutions was to be an active participant in my life and the lives of others. No sooner had I made this resolution, I saw this amazing movie that was all about connections. Connections made and lost, and the lasting effects that a person, who doesn’t want to...

I
Now I’m not talking about Top Ramen, although I’ve had my moments, and it will always hold a special place in my tummy. After all, I am a “starving artist” and at one point in my life I was a “starving college student.”
I’m talking about the real thing, straight from the ramen house. On a random drive down to the South Bay, I decided to stray a little...

To Run or not to run, To Blog or not to blog, and...
Today’s theme of the day-indecision. Or maybe inaction would be the more appropriate term.
It’s a Tuesday evening and for once I am not at work. What to do?! I have a list for nights like these…
Study for GMAT
Look for new job
Work on resume
work out-i.e. run, take dance class, do something physically demanding
reorganize room
This is what I’ll probably end up...
